What you’ll be doing…
○ You will be part of a World Class Container Platform team that builds and operates highly scalable
○ Kubernetes-based container platforms at a large scale for Global Technology Solutions at Verizon, a top
○ 20 Fortune 500 companies. This individual will have a high level of technical expertise and daily hands-on
○ implementation working in a product team in addressing end-user queries and developing services using
○ agile principles. Maintaining the Kubernetes platform operations via CI/CD pipeline utilizing AWS, CI/CD
○ tools and processes ( Jenkins, JIRA, GitLab), Python, Shell Scripts, or any other scripting technologies.
At least 7+ years of relevant experience in the below-mentioned requirements
Key Responsibilities:
● One to Two years of work experience in EKS/GKE or open shift
● Provide good customer experience by resolving end-user issues in the platform that are channeled through various mediums
● Ready to work in shift timings (24×7) to support different multi-cloud Kubernetes-based container platforms in all environments
● Build traffic routing, service discovery, secrets, and access control solutions
● Provide inputs in architecture and design of new features on the platform
● Analyzing, solving, and correcting issues in real-time, providing end-to-end problem resolution
● Implementing monitoring by leveraging tools like NewRelic, Catch Point, APM, and frameworks
● (CI/CD pipelines) using Jenkins, Jira, GitHub, and Ansible
● Partnering with application and other platform teams in product/platform migrations and enhancements

What we’re looking for…
You’ll need to have:
○ Bachelor’s degree with 4 or more years of experience in the IT industry and a relevant experience of 1-2 years in Container orchestration automation
○ Administration of Open Source Kubernetes Clusters, EKS / GKE / OKE / OpenShift
○ Strong experience in managing the Kubernetes platform at an enterprise level
○ Sound knowledge in cloud-native tools(CNI, OPA, FLUX)
○ Experience in container security scanning products
○ Experience in building and remediating container images across CloudNative K8s, EKS oropenshift
○ Exposure to different components of a container platform like Logging, Monitoring, Security and SRE practices
○ Experience in migrating legacy applications to the cloud (AWS, OCI, or GCP)
○ Excellent debugging skills and a flair to work with application teams
○ Ability to automate the manual touch points in the platform with Ansible playbooks, CI/CDtools and process ( Jenkins, JIRA, GitLab), Python, Groovy, Shell Scripts, or any other scripting technologies as and when required
○ AWS and CKA certifications are desired
○ Strong knowledge of DevOps tools and processes
○ Excellent cross-collaboration and communication skills
